Scoliosis brace wearers often ask "What clothes should I wear?" Here are some ideas that have been created by young patients whose main objective was to help other young patients with this important question.

Image 20: This was one of the first outfits I got for summer and people keep on thinking its a dress. Its nice to have a skirt that can go underneath the brace without looking weird and a shirt that literally covers the brace by a couple centimetres. It barely covers it but it works! And the vest covers the back and completes the look with some contrast to the black. I love acid wash and I'm so glad its in. This outfit could be finished off with chunky gold or silver spiked jewelry, a studded purse, and a black hat of some sort. Nicole - nicole.e@me.com
Image 22: I personally love Marvel so this shirt was great for me. The shorts go with captain america and the shirt mostly hides the brace. I always wear an acid wash vest over this, but if your brace is smaller something like this could work. Just make sure to check that the sleeves aren't to big and parts of the brace don't show through the side. I think something this would look great with wedge sneakers or flip flops. Image 23: This was another pretty good one, but better for cool days. The dress is terrible at hiding the brace on top with spaghetti straps that don't go with the leopard print and tight front zippered top. I easily solved the problem with a black motorcycle jacket that I personally love. It gives the outfit an edgier and slightly sexier look. Dress: H&M Jacket: H&M Nicole -
Image 24: With my new brace it stuck out a lot more at the back. Like I can fit a fist between my back and the brace. This made it really challenging to find clothes to hide it, mainly summer clothes. I got really lucky with this shirt. One of my friends was in stitches which I normally don't shop at. She was trying stuff on and I was bored so I grabbed a random shirt, tried it on, and realized that it completely hid my brace. Completely. You can't even tell.
